NetApp active discovery method is used to discover instance by means of the NetApp OnTAP SDK API.
The parameters of NetApp active discovery are:
- the NetApp object (as referred to by the NetApp API) to discover. This is typically objects like volume, disk, lun, etc.
- any filters to apply. The filters can be any attribute (as specified in the NetApp API) of the discovered object - but is typically the object name.
- grouping method. Note that the NetApp grouping method will automatically place volumes and disks in their parent aggregates.
